Medical Reiki™ Training was developed by Raven Keyes in 2015 after her many years of being present in the OR with several renown surgeons in NYC, including Dr. Mehmet C. Oz. Raven works closely with Dr. Sheldon M. Feldman, president of The American Society of Breast Surgeons.  A strong advocate for Reiki during surgery, Dr. Feldman extols the benefits of Reiki for breast cancer patients in this video:

A comment from founder, Raven Keyes:
"What a blessing we are bringing into the future together! Medical Reiki™ is where science and spirituality truly meet. When we go into surgery and any other medical environment as Medical Reiki™ Masters, we bring our gifts and skills not only to the patient, but to everyone present."

Reiki is being administered with positive results in Hospitals, Cancer Centers, VA Centers, and Hospice across the United States, Canada and the UK. Highly effective as a natural stress reduction treatment, Reiki calms the mind and emotions, releases tension and eases pain while supporting and accelerating the healing process. It helps with fatigue and can diminish the side effects of chemo and medications. Reiki provided in the OR, has been found to stabilize a patient’s blood pressure, minimize bleeding, and limit the need for pain medications following surgery.

Certified Medical Reiki™ Masters are passionate and compassionate about sharing Reiki as a holistic, complementary therapy for patients in the healthcare setting. Our sole mission is to support the patient and/or caregiver in a nurturing, holistic way during what can be a difficult time. Medical Reiki™ Masters do not diagnose conditions, prescribe or perform medical treatments, nor do we interfere with the treatment of a licensed medical professional.
